Peripherals

We have a range of scanners and printers from Epson and Canon in-store, so you don't have to wait for delivery. We also carry a range of great Canon digital cameras — often on sale.

External audio interfaces are here if you'd like to get more seriously into GarageBand or Logic, and include the Digidesign MBOX for $800. Airport Extreme Base Stations and Airport Express provide wireless access and wireless audio streaming respectively. Very cool, and the latest edition of the Base Station supports the latest 802.11n standard, for twice the range and five times the speed of the previous generation.

Want to watch high definition TV through your Mac? We've got the elgato eyetv which receives Australian SD and HD TV signals, letting you pause, review and keep your TV programs. Ideal with a Mac mini under a new LCD TV.

How about the PowerMate, the coolest USB dial on the planet? Ideal for scrubbing through a Final Cut timeline or adjusting brush size in Photoshop.

Consider a multi-button wheel mouse if you've never tried one before — we have a selection from different manufacturers. Fully supported by OS X and very helpful once you adjust. (It'll take about a minute.)

Wacom tablet Wacom graphics tablets are essential for serious Photoshop work, and start under $200 — well worth getting used to.

For iPods

There's a world of iPod accessories available. If you'd like to listen to your iPod in the car, we have systems in stock from Monster, Belkin and others to connect directly or via FM transmission, plus car-based charging. If you're going to be away from civilisation, consider a solar charger.

We've got a wide selection of cases and covers for all kinds of iPods, replacement headphones you can test, external speaker/charger/dock combo boxes, and a wireless iTunes linkup for your stereo. For the new iPod shuffle alone, we sell Apple's armband, dock, external battery pack, splash proof case and power adapter. There's much more than we can show here.

If you're going on a holiday away from your Mac, but taking your iPod (an excellent idea) then consider the iPod Camera Adapter or the Belkin Media Reader. Both gadgets let you download your photos from most digital camera storage cards direct to your iPod.
